  Incident Details: At the moment some of your Broadband End Users may be experiencing a loss of Broadband service.


 
  Progress Details: This failure is due to a fault on the SDH transmission network at Newcastle, IMT6741/15 refers. An engineer is currently on site at Newcastle investigating the cause of failure. Spares have been ordered to site should they be required, ETA 20:10. Root cause is yet to be confirmed. Remote re-routes are also being investigated as a parallel action in an attempt to restore service to the affected Broadband customers. Next update will be issued upon service restoration or sooner should there be a significant delay.

The Precision Test Officer ( PTO ) has proven a fibre fault between Lochbroom and Ullapool on MU6293 at jointbox 211, having been unable to call out additional resource he has now left site. Tomorrow at first light the PTO will organise traffic guarding and fibre jointers. Estimated time of repair are unknown at present. Next update will be upon a significant development.
