MBORC Declaration
Briefing

Dear Customer,

You will be aware of the continued bad weather we are experiencing in the UK and this is having a significant impact on our network.
The recent second bout of rainfall and high winds have resulted in the South West, Wales, London, Sussex, Surrey and Kent being particularly badly hit.
Our supplier has now considered its plans for the coming weeks as the Met Office has warned that many parts of the country will see high winds, significant rainfall and hail.
Already in some areas the level of faults has almost doubled and as such we will need to declare MBORC (Matters Beyond Our Reasonable Control).
This MBORC will be in place for repair with effect from 14.00, Friday 15 June 2012 in:
Brighton
Tunbridge Wells
Portsmouth
Maidenhead
Exeter
Stoke
Mid-Wales
Truro
Reading
Gloucester
Shrewsbury and Hereford
Aylesbury
Lea Valley
Peterborough
Bournemouth

Our supplier will continue to focus on repair, ensure it targets all its available engineering resource and continue to utilise overtime and mobile engineering teams to concentrate on the worst hit areas.

IMPACT
During the MBORC, our service management centre will be very busy, and you may experience delays in getting a response from us. If you are able to avoid the need to contact us during this period, this will enable us to focus on progressing cases where we can. We will ensure you and your teams are updated via the online portals and regular communications channels as soon as we have more information
We will continue to monitor the weather forecast with the Met Office and will inform you of any changes that occur.
If you have any concerns, please talk to your Client Manager.
Regards,
Angus Flett
Managing Director, BT Wholesale Customer Service & Service Operations
