Incident Details: | At the moment some of your Broadband End Users may be experiencing a loss of Broadband service. | ||||||
Progress Details: | There are two faults, between Banff and Orkneys and Orkneys and Shetland. The subsea fibre fault from Banff to the Orkneys, a spare fibre has been identified and put through at Banff. Openreach are looking at resourcing the task for Burray in Orkneys as the fibres need to be respliced to restore that path between Banff and Orkneys. There was a disturbance early our in the morning on the sub sea cable beween Orkneys and Shetland that has caused the optic amplifiers to shut down. Technical call is working with engineers at Orkneys and Shetland to resolve the issue with the amplifiers. Next update will be issued upon service restoration unless there should be a significant development. | ||||||
